Looking for a Pedi. GI in NE Ohio

I am looking for a new pedi. GI in the Cleveland, Akron, Canton area for my 4 month old dd. We are currently on our second one and I am not happy with her. She refuses to increase her Prevacid even though she is still crying during feedings. I faxed her the Marci-Kids info. and my emails with Dr. Phillips but this proved to be useless. I also got noware with her Pedi. If anyone knows a good Pedi. GI’s please let me know. Thanks

Does Abigail have another medical issues? I know that you probably are thinking what an odd question, but I have to tell you that when my daughter was 8 wks. old, we saw a ped. GI and I was not happy (and that was at Children’s Hospital in Akron). My daughter also has asthma and it has been out of control. So at the suggestion of the pharamisist (sp?) we went and saw a pediatric pulmonary specialist. He was the one to suggest that she get a Chalasia Scan, which is a barium test that shows if she had reflux. And guess what? She did and the ped. GI said she does not have acid reflux. Our pediatric pulmonary specialist is WONDERFUL and we are seen more improvement than what we saw after she saw the allergist. He is in Hudson and at Children’s Hospital in Akron.

I think she only has MSPI and the reflux. My oldest dd sees a GI at the Cleveland Clinc but when we moved I tried one at Akron Children’s that I also didn’t like, so we went back to the CCF. So I took Abby there but to a different GI b/c I wanted to get in ASAP. But this GI dosed her Prevacid so low it was no help so I switched to Rainbow Babies and Children’s. This GI is a little better but her dose is still low compared to the Marci-Kids dosage. I actually increased it myself and then got her to approve it when she was about 10wks. old. But now I still would like to give her the 7.5mg’s 3x’s per day eventhough Marci-Kids suggests 10mg 3x’s per day. It is very frustrating dealing with dr.’s esp. since she dismissed all the research that I showed her. I might try a switch to Zegerid and see if I can get her to dose the Marci-Kids dosage, esp. since it doesn’t have to be given on an empty stomach. Thanks for your help.
