I don’t know if Seth is lactose intolerant, he can eat cheese and foods cooked with milk and cheese and is also doing well with Pediasure (lactose free) but for some reason cannot tolerate milk, ice cream or yogurt (reflux wise). So, his ped. suggested Lactaid milk today for the nutrients and the fact that he is getting constipated on the rice milk. Has anyone else had success with this?
I don’t know if Brodie truly is lactose intolerant, or if too mcuh dairy just upsets his delicate system, but I have been mixing whole lactaid milk with his regular organic whole milk in a ratio of about 1 to 2. He used to get frequent loose stools before I did this and now he is normal to sometimes slightly constipated. I think it has helped him. Good luck!
we give Brianna lactaid milk and I know she isn’t lactose intolerant…but it is supposedly easier to digest so I figured it would help her. She loves it! Even better than regular which is why I haven’t really switched her.
I tried it with Aidan, but that was before he would actually drink milk. I stopped milk all together just this week, he has ear infections, and excema and tummy issues, so I’m going back to the lactaid once his ears and the cold thing he has going on clear up. It tastes exactly like whole milk (I tasted it) my older one drank it and never knew it!
