We put all of the parts to the Dr. Brown’s bottles in the dishwasher. We made sure to rinse them carefully first because the thickened rice would sometimes stick to the inside of the bottles, but otherwise we didn’t have any other issues. I suspect that the nipples wore out more quickly since they went through the dishwasher, but the cost of replacing the nipples was definitely worth the time that we saved. My dad doesn’t have a dishwasher and it made us crazy every time that we visited.

You’re right what was I thinking yes, my son is perfect, I should rejoice in the fact that he eats…even though it takes him 10 mins to take the bottle because he screams and refuses to take it, and even though he coughs and chokes on spit up after he eats (he has silent reflux)..and yes he sleeps at night ,but only because he is awake all day.

I apologize for coming off as so rude- which I’m really not…just tired and frustrated, and sometimes, jealous of anyone who gets any sleep- but those are my issues and not yours.

I realized that I probably shouldn’t have posted after I did it, and was coming down (it’s 3am here) to apologize before reading your post.

We are basically all in the same boat in some way or another, and a little more support with a bit less judgment would have been kinder (a little lesson from Lisa’s post). Again, sorry for offending you, and please don’t let me deter you from posting your boo-hoo’s in the future.
