Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Hello, ladies. I have a quick question…If Ariella’s still trying to swallow as if something’s coming up, then it’s safe to assume that the med’s not working, correct? We don’t see the GI doc till January 5th (that’s two more weeks). I seriously need some hope to hang onto…I need to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel!!

There’s definitely a light at the end of the tunnel!! Both of my refluxers outgrew it at 9 months which may seem like an eternity to you right now, but the months really do fly by.

As for the swallowing, it’s still very possible that the meds are working fine even though she is still refluxing and swallowing. The meds should stop the acid production so that when she does reflux it doesn’t hurt, but she will still have episodes of reflux and swallowing. Myles did that alot even though he was properly medicated and pain free.

Does she seem to be in pain?

Good luck with her appointment in January.

i agree with christine.
also reflux meds dont stop spit up, the supress acid production so it doesnt burn their throat.

is your baby in pain?

She does make a face once in a while as if something very bitter’s in her mouth. I wouldn’t say she’s calm down (for some reason, she’s got terrible gas, I have begun to avoid dairy to see if it helps).
