I have been trying to get online with them all day to see what they are about and it wont let me. My computer keeps saying “the serve cannot be found” is anyone else having this problem?

I’d like to know what the dosage of Prevacid it says for my 12 month, 22lb baby.

If anyone can help, I’d appreicat it! TIA!

They seem to have been down for several days now as another member posted this same thing earlier in the week. I can’t really tell you anything. I am sure someone else will chime in as well. You may need to find out dr phillips’ email and shoot him a quick note… maybe someone has it saved… sorry that I don’t.

quick dose:
high dose 5 yrs ago was 3mgs per kilo
even 3.5mgs per kilo
so I would start there…

Here is what I’ve copied from a previous post with the MARCI-kids dosing recommendations. Hope it helps!

Pediatric Dosing for Lansoprazole (Prevacid)

Age	Dose per day (mg/kg/dose)
< 3 months	1.5 to 1.75 mg/kg three times per day
3-6 months	1.25 to 1.5 mg/kg three times per day
7 months to 2 years	1 to 1.25 mg/kg three times per day
> 2 years	1 mg/kg two or three times per day
> 5 years	0.75 to 1 mg/kg two times per day

Pediatric Dosing for Omeprazole (found in Zegerid, Prilosec and generic form)

Age	Dose per day (mg/kg/ dose)
< 3 months	1.5 mg/kg three times per day
3-6 months	1.25 mg/kg three times per day
7 months to 2 years	1 mg/kg three times per day
> 2 years	1 mg/kg two or three times per day

It’s per kg, but I can help you with the conversion / calculation:

So if your little one is 12 months old, the recommended dosage of Prevacid would be 1 – 1.25 mg/kg/dose given 3 times a day. And 22 lbs would be equivalent to 10 kg (1 pound is 0.455 kilograms). So for a 10 kg, 12 month old baby, the minimum recommended dose is 10 mg 3 times a day (30 mg total per 24 hours), and the maximum recommended dose is 12.5 mg 3 times a day (37.5 mg total per 24 hours).

i typed marci-kids into google, and tried a bunch of results, and this is the first one that worked. Maybe they changed their site? Hopefully this is still good!
