Ian’s fish sticks

This is more of a vent than a question but I can only find the Ian’s fish sticks at one grocery chain here and the ones at the store near my house have a best before date of 01/06 so they obviously have not restocked in weeks. Knowing this, I made a special trip to another store farther away yesterday and on the ones there the best before date was 02/16!!! Does anyone else run into this problem? That is annoying. Especially when our kids have such a limited diet! I was having that problem when I would buy the Yo baby yogurt. I think the store was ordering too much of it at one time and then waiting until it all sold before re-ordering.

We had the same issue with the kind of soy yogurt that Kaelyn prefers. I actually just threw away 2 containers that I know we’ve only had for 2 weeks that said they were best before Feb 2nd. I must have forgotten to check them before I bought them!

Do you have a Whole Foods near you? They stock the Ians Fish Sticks (and yobaby, etc.) and tend to move stuff quickly…I’ve never had a problem with things going bad there…

Tricia- they are building a new Whole Foods near my office that is opening in the Spring- I can’t wait!! We do have some here but they are not convenient- I was able to check one out when I went to a conference in Dec. in another part of town. I ate lunch there and it was awesome from what I could tell.

The closest one to us is 2 hours away, but they are building one across town next year. It is a pitiful statement on my life that this was the most exciting news that I received last week!

Kim – I totally understand – a few years ago I felt the same way when I heard a Trader Joe’s was coming to my town. We went opening day!
