I need help/ideas

My almost 3mo old is on Neocate due to FPIES. His stools turned black/green, which i understand is normal for neocate. a week ago, he started getting seedy yellow poops (breastmilk poops except he isn’t on BM, and it had balls o mucous in it). I figured it was a stomach virus b/c 24hours later, i started with diarrhea and haven’t been able to put anything in my stomach for 2-3 days. But its going on a week….do yu think this is still residual from virus or is something else going on? Can you be allergic to neocate? Could he be developig an allergy to this formula too? I notice there are corn syrup solids. When I was younger, I was allergic to corn products. Could this be happening and if so, OMG what are we going to feed him? Thanks for input!

my doctor said its ok for some babies to have mucous in stools om meocate..as long as they r happy and gaining weight well. i was worried too…

My son is also on neocate and has recently had that a few times but now he has also had constipation which isn’t a known thing for neocate. I wasn’t sure myself what that was but it went away. It comes back every once in a while. I looked on their website and didn’t find anything and I had my ped test his stool for blood thinking that might be whats going on since that is the reason he got put on it in the first place. Im not sure though. It did seem to go away. You should ask your doctor that put him on it or you can call him. The color change is very normal, as well as the smell.
