not sure but the first thing that came to mind was teething. Is Nithin cutting any teeth? I found that for the few days that the teething really bothered my boys, they would refuse food as it hurt to eat, etc… they would practically live on air the week that tooth poked through and the poop issue was there as well……Also, do you think he could be comeing down with a virus? Not sure any of this is helpful, but that is the first thing I thought of…Hang in there! HOpefully others will have better suggestions/advice.Thanks!Ann MarieApril 18, 2008 at 1:34 pm #50560AnonymousInactiveTeething is such a bear for these little ones. I would look to that, maybe a virus or possibly even an ear infection. The first time Cooper had an ear infection his only sign was that he wouldn’t drink his bottles. Other than that I couldn’t tell anything was really wrong, he had no fever, didn’t pull his ear or anything and his 2nd one I didn’t know either, we just went to the doc b/c he had a bad cough and his 3rd was the only time I had a symptom (ear pulling) that made me think ear infection. Those are the roots I would take. It sounds like he is on a pretty good dose of Prevacid at this point.

Thanxs for ur support he is getting better now with eating i guess its because of the new food i tried.i gave the rice and lentil from EARTHSBEST guess that was the reason since now i stopped giving it and he is getting better.i am so scared to try something new because of this .does anybody know what kind of food we should avoid for refluxers or it just different for each kid.April 20, 2008 at 12:59 pm #50629AnonymousInactiveHearing that you gave him lentils makes it pretty clear to me that that was probably the problem. Think about foods that cause you to get gas… For me it is any type of bean. I have only given Cooper Lima Beans and that is only in the last 2 wks. And I have noticed that if he eats them more than 2 times in a few days we pay for it with gas and tummy pains. I would hold off on any real gas forming foods for awhile, beans, broccoli etc. I still haven’t given Cooper broccoli even though it is my favorite veggie.
April 20, 2008 at 3:14 pm #50635AnonymousInactiveooh yes, lentils would def be an issue for landen. we just try to avoid high in protein foods like beth mentioned. babies with protein intolerances usually have problems with food high in protein: green beans, beans of any kind, broccoli.
landen is almost 14 months old and he is just now able to handle some green beans on his tray.the orange/yellow fruits and veggies were usually safe for him (excluding carrots and squash). landen did well on pears, peaches, homemade applesauce, sweet potato and then bland food like MSPI safe crackers, cheerios, etc. His diet was kind of bland til I was brave enough to add in a few meats and now green bean.April 20, 2008 at 11:29 pm #50652AnonymousInactivethanks for reminding me that lentil has gas i am giving him chicken and turkey and he loves it so…….much and also no trouble with either so i thought lentil was a good source of protein but forgot the gas part.i notice some bottle food has onion powder and canola oil ,potato powder can i try those or avoid for now.
