February 12, 2007 at 11:11 pm #24732AnonymousInactiveAmy, no advice to give. Just hugs. Also, I love the new pic. It is so nice to see who your talking too. Hope things get better soon.
February 13, 2007 at 4:09 am #24737AnonymousInactiveHope you and Sarah feel better soon
February 13, 2007 at 12:07 pm #24764AnonymousInactiveOh no! I’m so so sorry to hear how sick you guys are! I hate it when illness hits on the family plan (the worst is when dh hubby gets it, he’s such a baby!).
I hope you’re both feeling better soon. HUGS.
BTW, what’s a z-pack?
February 13, 2007 at 2:10 pm #24799AnonymousInactiveHi Lori,
Z-Pack is a five day supply of Zithromax. It comes in a little cardboard thing with five pills in it.
February 14, 2007 at 2:40 pm #24891AnonymousInactiveHey, sorry I’m late to this. So sorry to hear Amy about you all being sick. I can totally sympathize. We are STILL dealing with the repercussions of the whole RSV mess.
As far as the diarrhea goes, I would venture to guess that it’s the antibiotic too. Ben has had some pretty nasty poo while on them, and his poor bum is paying the price.
Hang in there!
February 14, 2007 at 8:12 pm #24919AnonymousInactiveWe’ve had a really nice turn-a-round in our house these past few days! I am feeling TONS better! (DH is still battling it, but at least we’re not both knocked out). Sarah has been such a doll the past 2 days. My baby is back!!! I started switching her back to alimentum two days ago and I’m already back at full strength. She’s taking it just fine. I may have given in a little too soon, but it really wasn’t worth all the stress. I will try Good Start again soon, maybe another month or two, or maybe just go straight to milk this summer and see how big of a disaster that is???? Who knows. I’m just glad to have my Sarah back.
Oh, the diarrhea was a one time thing…thank goodness!!!!!!
I cannot express in words how much this forum means to me. I have made so many BIG decisions based on the opinions of you wonderful moms and have not thought twice about the advice I’ve been given. People ask me “what did your doctor say?” I want to respond “Well, my current doctors are on infantreflux.org….I don’t talk to my ped. about squat b/c she has no clue!” Sooooooo ladies, where should I send the bill for all of your fantastic advice and support!? Lord knows I’m not getting it from the PhD!!
Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!!!!
February 14, 2007 at 9:06 pm #24923AnonymousInactiveI’m so glad to hear she’s feeling better! I know what you mean about this forum. Myles was in such a bad place (and so was I) until I found this forum and got him the help he needed. It would not have happened without the terrific advice I got here.
February 14, 2007 at 9:08 pm #24924AnonymousInactiveAmy,
So glad to hear that all is getting back to normal for you. What a relief that must be! Life is so much harder to deal with when we are sick. As far as the switch with the formula, I would have probably done the same thing, as would a lot of moms. I think we all want to do whatever we can, as quick as we can, to help these little ones.
I totally agree with how you feel about the ladies on this forum. I think my husband and friends are so sick of hearing about it, but I too take what you all say more to heart than what the doc. says. He doesn’t live with a refluxer, so how much could he really know????

SO happy you are feeling better and Sarah is happy again!! I totally know what you are talking about with this board. I think I communicate more with my reflux family than I do with my own!!
Hope things continue to go well and enjoy your little sweetie!!

February 15, 2007 at 12:36 pm #24954AnonymousInactiveSo glad things are going so much better!
You know, when Brianna was 9 months, I tried eating some hidden dairy and soy. Well I felt like things were different, but my husband thought I was reading too much into things. In the end we figured it was easier to just hold off until she was a year (actually we started trying dairy here and there at 11 months). For me, it just allowe me to have one less piece in this crazy reflux puzzle.
