I am sorry that Shane is not feeling well………it sounds like he has the flu bug that has been going around. Rylie had that 2 weeks ago. I picked her up from daycare and they said that she felt warm and that she was just sitting there. I then took her to the ER right away because I know that her asthma will become bad with a fever. By the time we got there…….her temp was 103……and she was VERY SLUGGISH!! The Tylenol that they gave her only brought the temp down to 101, so they told me that when sh got home to give her some Motrin. Well……by the next day, I had a temp….and it was really hard to take care of her and try to feel better myself.

I wanted to tell you that a friend of my told me about this decogestant that really works because it goes in the babies nose and they do not take it orally. You may want to try this…….it is Little Noses by Little Remedies. It really works GREAT!!!! I hope he feels better soon….let me know if the nose drops work well with him.

i was going to mention that on my infant tylenol cough and cold box..it says “new decongestant”! maybe they are trying to fix things a bit??! i havnt given it yet.. soo maybe i will try the little noses.. is it saline drops? because we have those and they dont do much

The Little Noses with the orange label is not saline, it has Phenylephrine Hydrochloride. It says it has no pseudoephedrine, but it also says to not use on children under 2 and to ask a doctor. If you have a local pharmacist you trust, you can ask them. I ask my pharmacist more than I ask the ped. I hope that this helps?

Our ped prescribed the Little Noses decongestant in the orange box. He actually said to use a syringe and squirt it right in her nose. I think that he said 0.4 mL, but it was a long time ago, so I’m not sure. He said that it was more effective than the sprayer that comes with it.

also, can anyone PLEASE tell me how much benadryl?? i cant figure it out! the drsears website says two different things! thanks..

also we are going on the 3rd full day of motrin and tylenol back to back.. is this too long? he does stil lhave afever…

You know I have a dosage chart for all of the meds like that and I can not remember where I got it, but I am not at home right now. Later this evening I will put it on thie post for all of you ladies!!!!
