Help … Zantac!

Hi everyone- I’m new here and have my first child, 1 month old. She has gerd and having such a hard time at life right now. The dr gave us 1.2l 2x day of Zantac. Problem is… She hates the taste. Refused to take from dropper. Dr said I can give it to her w 1 tbs if formula. She spits up right after it!!! What is your advice on how to keep this down? The poor baby isn’t getting any better!!! Help!!

you can mix the zantac w/ some mylanta cherry supreme. It’s next to impossible to find the actual mylanta brand, but you CAN find it’s store-brand equivalent- cvs brand, rite aid brand, etc. Look for the one that does NOT contain aluminum in it’s ingredients. It is safe for babies, even newborns. you can mix the zantac & mylanta cherry supreme in a syringe and give at the same time. you can give up to 2.5mls of the mylanta cherry supreme in a 24hr period. if you see loose stools, back off…
