I work with a woman whose sister is a doctor in this field. I have never heard of osteopathic education, and I have just started to research this topic. I was wondering if anyone has went to this type of doctor, and if they had any sucess. I recently came across an article while trying to research osteopathy that basically claimed an infant not getting a proper first breath does not allow for the rib cage to expand like it should after being compressed in the birth canal and that this can cause acid reflux issues. ( I put this information in the previous post too). My daughter sucked in fluid so I was not able to hold her right away and other mothers on here have mentioned their babies having this issue at birth, so I was wondering if there really was a correlation with this. My daughter is 4 months old and on 15 mg of Prevacid, and I am wondering if anyone has tried other methods to alleviate the acid reflux besides medicine. I know that in time she will out grow the acid reflux, but it is so hard to know she is in pain. She spends a lot time not being content at all. I just like to explore all of my options. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to research like I would like to. Any thoughts and or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,
Becky
