gross diaper questions….

I breastfeed my LO who is now 12 weeks. Due to his history of mucousy stool, visible blood in stool, and stinky
gas, we had stool samples done and the tests revealed white
blood cells in stool as well as red blood. I went off dairy, soy, eggs, and fish one week
ago….because those are my four “suspect” foods thus far for my
little one…..so far at least! 😉 My son’s GI wants me to go 2
more weeks this way, and then we’ll do new stool samples to see if my son is
improving.

So, that being said….I’ve noticed a change in his stool since I’ve been doing this for a week. The visible blood is gone…..however his stool is ALL mucous now. It used to be spots of mucous….but now it’s (SORRY!) straight green slime…almost liquid in nature. He does seem to have a little cold….could that cause the change in stool?

Any other ideas or feedback?

not sure but the mucous could be from something else in your diet- I think what I would do (I actually did do it, lol) is the TED the total elimination diet…this way you don’t have to cut out some foods, add those back, cut out others, etc…

as for the underlined blue- maybe you copied & pasted something?
