What a week- as I posted a month or so ago, the set of tubes that were in Seth’s ears had come out of place but were still lodged in his ears and he immediately started to get infections. Well, this week, he has been in pain, would hardly even let us near his ears to change clothes or anything and needlesss to say could not sleep. We went to the ped. on Tuesday and she could not even get a look at his ears because he was so sensitive but did prescribe an antibiotic and told us to follow up with the ENT. We took him to the ENT Wed., and they saw where the tubes were pressing on his ear drums causing pressure and there was fluid trapped behind both of the tubes. Luckily, though, they were able to get us in yesterday for surgery and they removed the old tubes and put in a new pair. They have already made an incredible difference! He was back to his old self by the time we got in the car to come home and he (we) was finally able to get some rest- 3 hour nap yesterday and did not wake once last night….
Ouch! That sounds so painful!

i can certainly RELATE to ears infections and tubes problem.I am glad you were able to ge him in soon and he is happy again
Oh good! Ear infections are so painful and such a pain the you know what! Hope he continues to do well!
Wow! I am sorry about the ordeal, but so glad he’s all better!! YAY for a great night’s rest after all of that! I’m glad he’s feeling good and hope these tubes stay put!!
