I need help figuring out what is going on with my LO! She is 8 weeks old and a very fussy baby. We have problems with gas (squirming, screaming, pass gas, start over again) and a lot of problems eating (she will latch on and eat for 6-12 minutes at a time then pull away screaming in pain). My lactation consultant thinks I have a fast letdown/over supply which I took stps to fix already. I tried cutting out dairy about a month ago and it didn’t seem to help but now I’m thinking I might not have done it for long enough so now I’m going to try TED b/c I’m at my wits end, and I feel terrible for my sweet girl! I was trying to cut out all wheat, soy, eggs and gassy veggies but amped up my dairy consumption to see what would happen and after 48 hrs of this her poops became increasingly greener/stinkier. She was so uncomfortable last nite she slept on me otherwise neither of us got any rest. She squirms so much she unwraps her swaddle and sometimes she will lift her legs straight up in the air and bang them down again repeatedly.
What is this?? Gas, food intolerance, reflux, all???
She is gaining weight, in fact our pedi said she was an overeater confusing stomach pains with hunger pains.
Any help would be great!! I’ve read lots of the recommended posts and links, looking for personal experiences. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Ya… to me it sounds like… gas, food intolerance, reflux, all of the above. It depends on how far down the line you want to look. Reflux, gas, stomach pain, strange poop, etc can all be caused from food intolerances. But why can’t the baby tolerate the food? For my children it was because they weren’t fully breaking down and digesting their food. And why weren’t they digesting it properly? Because they didn’t have enough digestive enzymes to do the job.
To learn more about how digestive enzymes and probiotics can help your baby go to my blog. No, they have not cured my children but my children are MUCH MUCH better than they used to be!!!
