aside from all the pain, these little girls and guys can be soooooo funny!!!! what’s the funniest thing you’ve seen your little one do so far??? I just thought it would be good to share some of those stories…..Like mine, he’s 9 weeks old and just finding his hands…he’s currently trying to get them into his mouth but only suceeding in punching himself in the face..which incidently he finds hysterical..now that I think about it maybe he’s actually aiming for his face??lol.

Well for me…..I have a 28 month old who is fairly good at pronouncing most words…..except a few.
The other day we went out to eat somewhere & I don’t even remember what she was eating but I had given her a fork to use. A few minutes later she asked me something with a 1 word statement & I couldn’t figure out what she was saying. After me asking her to repeat, she stated “Porn”. I was like….WHAT!!!!! I still didn’t get the connection & again asked her what she meant. Finally she pointed at her food & then her fork & yelled “PORN, PORN, PORN!”. God I was embarrassed! People looked at me like “What the heck are you letting this girl watch!”. I then figured out she meant spoon. SO, in a loud voice I said “Oh, you want your spoon?”. SHe said, “Yeah, poon”. Poon is what she normally calls it so when she yelled for PORN, I wasn’t sure what she wanted.
Some of the things they say in public…..yikes!

I was trying to remain calm and most of all quiet while she got louder and louder. People from 3 checkstands over were all focusing their attention on the little cussing girl! She continued to repeat it over and over until I realized that the people right behind us had a Brittish accent and she was very excited trying to say “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” in regards to her favorite movie. I spoke a little louder than usual saying “oh yes you love your Chitty Chitty Bang Bang movie”. The checker gave us the look of “yeah right” How I wished at that moment she still took a pacifer during the day!

Hailey has been talking up a storm lately too! Her latest “funny” is that she says “ackies” which means something gross is on her. If anything is on her like a hair on her finger she comes running over to you yelling “ackies”. Cracks me up every time!

We just started toilet training my older daughter this weekend. Part of the process has been bringing her in to the bathroom when we go. So this morning I called the daycare to see how things were going with it there, and the teacher started laughing. She said, “We asked Sarah if she went on the potty this weekend, and her reply was ‘I sat on the toilet but my pee-pee didn’t want to come out. (Then paused and added) but Mummy’s pee pee was very yellow and daddy’s poo looked like a big, long snake.” I was so hysterical from laughing that I forgot to be embarassed… thankfully my husband picks her up from daycare!
February 20, 2006 at 7:41 pm #2021AnonymousInactiveok so I learned the hard way a game that is NOT good for reflux babies!!! I decided to do the cute “how high is baby game” that my older son loved, with aidan an hour ago, where you hold them up and say how high is baby…yeah he puked on my face!!!! oops on that, and he’s a SILENT refluxer too!!! I think if he could talk he’d say “duh you moron what did you think would happen???”
And omg lori that’s hysterical!!!!
