i know a couple of you have asked recently of any ideas of foods for their children who are now eating table foods… and who also cant do dairy/soy.
well, i made shane french toast.. made with rice milk and egg yolk the other day.. oh ya and some cinnamin … and he LOVED it.. he ate the whole piece and has been having it for breakfast everyday. soo.. theres my new idea.
That’s great. Myles likes French toast too. That’s good to know that it can be done with rice milk and egg yolk. Very clever of you, Lauren. The cinnamon sounds yummy. I never thought of adding that.
natalia ~ alright well u first have to take the white out of the egg.. and this is done by cracking it in half and than pouring the egg back and forth until the yolk is just left.. like letting the white drip out i guess you could say. and than putting it in a bowl and scrambling it..and than adding some rice milk to it.. and than adding some cinnamin. than you put the bread it in and let it soak it up on both sides. than put some butter in the pan.. you can put a butter substitue.. just a tiny bit.. and than cook one side until it starts to brown and flip it and cook the other side. you can cut it in the middle to make sure its done too. and dont worry i am only 25 and just started to get the hang of cooking within the past year
and christine~ thanks.. my mom actually recommended it when we were trying to think of new stuff for him.
