I am considering the very likely possibility that Jenna is MSPI. I’ll make a brief list of the signs she is exhibiting…
Eczema (no “traditional” rashes)
Farting like crazy (especially after starting Similac RS)
Reflux (duh)
Rubbing of eyes
Difficulty sleeping due to discomfort
Irritability
Congestion
Her stool is absolutely fine for whatever formula she’s on, but here’s where it gets interesting: she USED to have mucus in it. She’s been on Enfamil GentleEase since she was 2 days old, all the way up until last week, when we switched her to Similac R.S. She used to have mucus in her stool, when she was just a few weeks old (now she’s 11 weeks), but now there’s none. I used to be able to give her a litle bit of breast milk, and can’t remember if she still had mucus when I stopped nursing/pumping. But have you ever heard of mucus being present, and then not, and there still being an allergy? She has no identifiable blood in the stool or diarrhea or constipation; I don’t think there ever was.
