last week we had five fabulous, DREAM days in a row! Since being on the Prevacid there has been slow improvment but improvement nonetheless, then out of no where things got wonderful!! I am SO grateful for those days therefore I wanted to post them. But, the past two or three days have been heading in the wrong direction again. Any ideas?? The fact that she’s been steadily improving since starting meds tells me she’s on the right course so is it possible to have some bad days for a while? Thanks!

I’m so happy to read a GOOD post about your little one!!! I know how stressful it has all been!!! I think you are definitely on the right track. Sometimes it just takes longer than we’d like to finally see the improvement we are hoping for!

I am not sure why she has been fussy the past few days but I want to tell you that you will probably spend every waking minute questioning reflux until she outgrows it. If Sarah had a fussy day/night or even moment my mind IMMEDIATELY went to reflux pain…when in reality she could have just been bored, hungry, thirsty, uncomfortable, dirty, tired, teething, sick…or any 1001 other reasons why “normal” babies cry!

I’d keep an eye on her for a few more days before you decide to worry and change things again! I HOPE THINGS CONTINUE TO BE AWESOME!

That’s great! I’m glad to hear that you all had a break for a bit. It’s amazing how much better everything looks when the day goes good. I do know, that no matter how well Ben was doing, there would be days when all would go to pot. Now, like Amy said, all babies have their bad days, and I could never figure out if that’s what it was or if it was just the “reflux rollercoater” coming down that hill again.

I agree that you wouldn’t want to change anything at this early time, but just keep an eye on her. Hopefully, she will continue to do well.

That’s wonderful!

I agree with PP on everything. Also, I have seen Catherine start refluxing again with colds, ear infections, stuff like that. And sometimes for no good reason. We hadn’t seen any reflux in weeks and then she had her tubes put in Monday and refluxed all Monday and Tuesday. I always feel like it’s “lurking” and waiting to pop up. 🙂
