hi guys,

the endoscopy was done this morning. not toooo bad…but not easy either! dh had to bring him in the operation room.. i couldnt do it.. i was a mess when the doctor was just talking to me!

anyhow, he did well. he took a LONG time to wake up and snap back into it.. that part was hard. the ped GI showed us two pics of his small intestant and his esophogus.. the intestant looks a little inflamed he said.. which def. could be because of gluten or another allergy that we dont realize.. and his esophogus isnt as closed as he would like to see.. so there is def. still some reflux going on (duh) ;).

i will update you guys wed. when i get the results from the biopsy!

Hi Lauren,

Glad it is over!! Sorry that Shane’s intestines are a little inflamed, but on the other hand, I’ll bet it is nice to be validated and know that your instincts were right on and you knew that something wasn’t right.

You are doing a great job with Shane!!!

I’m glad to hear the endoscopy went okay. I’m sure it’s good to get some answers so you can start moving in the right direction and figure out what’s going on. Good luck. I hope you get to the bottom of this soon.

glad to hear that it’s over. Sorry about the inflammation. Hopefully the biopsy will help. Is he on or off meds?

I was just thinking about this the other day wondering when his endoscopy was. I’m glad that it is behind you now and hopefully you can get some definite answers. Let us know what they find..

thanks everyone.
ann marie~ oops i meant intestines..haha.. i am SUCH a better speller..
lori~ no.. no meds. he hasnt been on them since he was 10 months old. no pain… or eating difficulties.. and the meds didnt help with the sleep issues. hopefully the biopsy will shed more light! i cant wait!! its weird.. its like you dont want your child to have anything wrong.. but when you know things arent right anyhow, you want there something to show up..just soo you can “fix” it.
