MY SON SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE YOURS. HE WAS FOUR MONTHS OLD AT THE TIME OF THE CHANGE AND WOULND’T EAT MORE THAN 2-3 OZ AT A TIME. AFTER MUCH REFUSING TO EAT, I DECIDED IT WAS THE TASTE OF THE FORMULA AND ADDED GOATS MILK WITH IT. HE ATE 5 OZ THE FIRST FEEDING AND HAS DONE GREAT EVER SINCE. WE WERE LUCKY THAT GOATS MILK WORKED FOR US. SOME MSPI BABIES ARE INTOLERANT TO ALL MILK PROTEINS AND JUST CANT TAKE ANYTHING BUT NEOCATE OR ELLACARE. MY SON IS ON NEOCATE.
IT TOOK A COUPLE OF MONTHS AND HE WAS NG TUBE FEED B/C HE WASN’T GAINING WEIGHT. I WOULD SAY IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME, BUT TASTE IS SOMETHING TO CONSIDER. MY DOC DIDN’T BELIEVE ME, BUT AFTER SO MANY FEEDS OF HIM THROWING A FIT AND I KNEW HE WAS ON ENOUGH MEDS, I JUST WENT TO THE THOUGHT OF MAYBE IT WAS THE TASTE.
HAVE YOU HAD ANY DIAPERS TESTED FOR BLOOD LATELY? IT CAN TAKE UP TO A MONTH FOR THE BLOOD TO BE GONE IN THE STOOLS, BUT IT IS A WAY TO KNOW IF IT IS WORKING? IF THERE IS STILL BLOOD HIS LITTLE TUMMY MIGHT STILL BE HURTING.
