Diaper rashes from milk?? UPDATE

I just thought I would share this with you…I think someone even mentioned something about this earlier in this thread. I was reading my parenting magazine and it said that diaper rash is super common when teething. I know you said that your son didn’t do this before, but my daughters last rash came about the same time her teeth started to drop (little boogers haven’t poked through yet, they are just sitting right underneath her gums for two months now, the poor dear)…so maybe that is all it is.

Well I’d thought I’d give a little update about this since so many of you were so nice to give your ideas and suggestions. Myles cut an eye tooth and the next day I had given him milk by mistake and NO DIAPER RASH at all that day. So, I’ve continued giving him milk and yogurt and no diaper rashes since cutting that tooth. So it must have been the tooth. Even though it was his fourteenth tooth and he never had a diaper rash with any of his first thirteen teeth. Weird, hugh?

The best thing about this is that since starting milk and yogurt he is pooping two or more times per day. No more constipation. Finally I think we can put that behind us.

That’s great, Christine! Big relief huh? I’m sure a food intolerance is one more thing you don’t need to deal with.

It is weird though, isn’t it? My boys both had that kind of reaction with just one or two teeth (a molar or eye-tooth). The other teeth, they were fine.

Of course, now he’s got rotavirus. Not fun!
