My two sons have been less than enthusiastic when it comes to weaning. My middle child (no reflux or milk problems) simply wanted momma and he would hold out for me. So don’t expect cold turkey to work. It may but the whole “they will eat if they are hungry” doesn’t work with my kids! My littlest one has reflux and a milk problem. I am continuing to nurse because I really don’t have anything to wean him to. I am 100% convinced he will not take formula (particularly that nasty tasting ones) after having breast milk for so long. You might have better luck if you pump and half and half to smooth the transition. Does your baby take a bottle or cup at all? If no then you might have a battle just with that let alone what you are putting in it.
What have you not been able to add in? I still can’t do milk, yogurt, sour cream but can do tiny cheese here and there. It is a hassell but I can do hidden dairy so that makes it tons easier
