Crawling!

Despite Jackson’s continuous excessive spit up, he is crawling and sitting up at 6 months! His crawling is a bit uncoordinated, but adorable. It is fun to celebrate his big accomplishment!

Great news. Don’t be alarmed if his spitting gets worse ( I know how can it get worse!) now that he is moving around. I used to follow Cooper with a towel to catch the puddles on the floor… Watch out he will be walking before you know it. 🙂

Why does everyone say reflux improves at 6 months if it gets worse when they become mobile? His reflux has definitely worsened. Is that not true of most babies?

I think doctors tend to say it improves… not mamas who know better. But there are some lucky few who do improve at that age. From what I’ve seen it seems like reflux tends to go in about 3 month cycles. Babies tend to grow out of it at 6,9,12,15 or 18 months, etc. Not sure why.

I think the “acid” part of reflux tends to improve at that age, but not the spitting part.

Thank you for all of the congrats. About 1 day after I posted this, he started to pull himself up to a standing position in his crib and he is doing it all over the house and trying to balance himself without holding onto anything! He is very daring and as a result, exhausting. Thanks again!
