Constipation?

Addy hasn’t pooped since Monday….should I give her anything to help? She has a very sensitive tummy (entercolitis) so any advice on what to give her?

She also started Amoxicillin and quit taking Zegerid on Monday…could this have anything to do with not pooping?

Antibiotics are known to mess up the digestive system..can she do acidophilis at all? I know her tummy is extra sensative…my ds takes acidophilis everyday and dd takes it 2-3 week…it helps keep the good bacteria in the system…although if she’s never had it, now wouldnt probably be a good time to try….

sorry just thinking out loud…there is always the thermometer in the rear to try and stimulate some movement

The thermometer trick usually worked well for Myles.

Maybe some benefiber if that doesn’t work. I’ve found it to be very helpful for Myles with no side effects whatsoever. It’s just fiber, so maybe it would be ok for her. I really don’t know anthing about entercolitis, though.

Usually antibiotics cause loose stools, so I don’t think it would be from the antibiotic, but anything’s possible and our babies are all so different. Did she have loose stools on Zegerid? Maybe her body needs time to adjust to not having the Zegerid anymore. Sorry, I’m not being very helpful.
