Our little guy is now 4 months old and for the past few weeks has been doing much better even sleeping through the night. I no longer constantly hear him fighting stuff back in his throat, until today that is! He had his shots this morning and has been sleeping A LOT which I hear is normal behavior after shots, but whenever he is awake he is struggling. Is this normal after shots?

…depends who you talk to. Vaccines are typically a touchy subject on the boards. My refluxer was often worse when she had her vaccines. Same as when she was getting sick. Anything that taxed her system more, really. Hope your little guy is feeling better soon.

In our experience so far, reflux is a lot worse for about 24 hrs after vaccines. Bad night, bad naps,etc. I am going to see if we can space them out a few days apart next time around to see if that helps.

there seems to be a general concencus (sp) that reflux tends to flare when there is any strain on the immune system, whether it be from a vaccine or from an illness (virus, etc)…
