Did anyone have problems with the Prevacid turning brown? When I pumped the med this morning, one is brownish so I’m assuming that’s Prevacid. Then the white side(bottle B) has small particles, like it’s not mixing. This is even with me shaking it vigorously up and down. Today my DD has been refluxing bad. I just heard her in her bedroom coughing. I gave her a dose this morning, 4ml(10 mg). When she was on the solutabs she only got 7.5 mg.
BTW I skipped Prevacid yesterday and she was fine(her doc wants us to try and wean). In the evening before bed I gave her 1 ml Zantac. She was also fine but she didn’t like it. Then this morning is when I noticed the refluxing. She does this growling thing and then the coughing (which I call reflux cough). Do u think the alcohol and peppermint in Zantac is aggravating the reflux? I have GERD and any amoutn of alcohol is a NO-NO so I can’t understand why they put this in a medication, esp one that toddlers and babies can get. I asked my doc to write a RX for Axid but she kept pushing Zantac instead.
Advice? Thoughts? She is teething by the way (molars) and in the past this has been always a reason for her to have a flare up. But with all the stuff going on, I’m not even sure anymore.
