Have you ladies read this book or know of someone who has? It’s called Baby Matters What Your Doctor May Not Tell You. http://www.babyreference.com/excerpt.htm I’m curious because she claims to know what causes reflux. From the little I read in the link above I have a feeling she thinks it’s dairy. I’m curious what she does think though. I’m planning to get pregnant soon and boy would I love to know the secret.
Thanks ladiesJune 26, 2008 at 7:26 pm #53076AnonymousInactiveI hadn’t heard about or read this book, but just reading the first chapter makes me want to read more. It is very interesting and factual, or at least it makes sense. I too, would like to have another, but dread the thought of going through what we did with Brodie!

June 26, 2008 at 8:57 pm #53082hellbenntKeymasterthere’s a review of it, but I cannot access it:
if anyone wants to take the time to request it, it seems you can- one of the choices in the drop-down menu is ‘for a web site’ (there are other options that look plausible as well)from link above,go to right-hand menulook for ‘services’ & click on ‘Reprints & Permissions’then a window pops upchoose from the drop-down menu (looks like ‘use on a web site’ is most applicable but maybe there are others that would apply as well)then there are instructions…let us know if it you do thisJune 26, 2008 at 9:14 pm #53083AnonymousInactiveI read amazon reviews on EVERYTHING!!!
July 27, 2008 at 10:25 pm #54572AnonymousInactiveAny updates on this??
July 28, 2008 at 9:30 am #54593AnonymousInactiveI just read the reviews and there is only one woman that possibly had a baby with reflux and she claims it helped her baby. What aggrivates me is all the other women that may read the book and then think they know how to cure acid reflux. Only to make a mom more depressed because it doesn’t work. I don’t know, I’m going to check my library to see if they have it and I’ll let you know if I do get to read it and what I think.
I think we might be pregnant again, but it’s too early to know for sure. I keep waking up in the morning burning up so for the last two days I have taken my temp and it is elevated to 99 so I think I may be. Anyway, I am trying all kinds of things this time around and I will definantly let you ladies know how it goes.July 28, 2008 at 8:57 pm #54646AnonymousInactiveOh Shelby how exciting! How soon can you test??? I can’t wait to hear the news!
July 29, 2008 at 7:51 am #54670AnonymousInactiveI think I have to wait another 3 weeks to test. I’m going to go to the store today though and look at the boxes to see what they say. I will definantly let you guys know when I find out.

I got positive tests 9 days past ovulation 2 diff’t pregnancies (a miscarriage & Evan) w/ First Response. Good luck!July 29, 2008 at 2:15 pm #54711AnonymousInactiveYou’ll probably get a positive much sooner than that. I got a positive with Sarah less than 2 weeks after we “tried”. It was 3 days before I even missed my period. GOOD LUCK!
