Well I’ve run into a snag. Usually during the day, I would pump and thicken the milk for DS and then during the night nurse him. And it was working well. However, since being put on solutabs, DS is refusing the bottle, unless we are out in public. But he will only eat, small amounts from the bottle (ie: maybe 1 oz at a time). At home, he will scream and refuse to eat unless I nurse him. I have also tried to get both DH and my mom to feed him, but without luck. I use playtex premium nursers. Does anyone have any suggestions?
He will be going in for tests, hopefully soon, that will include swallowing tests and scoping. And they mentioned possibly a feeding tubes (for a couple days only – at least that’s what they said). He only seems to sputters/choke once sometimes twice a day while nursing. This has improved a great deal. Now it’s just when he’s leaning back, like in his car seat, that he chokes on his on saliva. He’s 5 months old now, and I’m thinking of weaning him to formula, but he wakes up 4 times a night for feedings (and he wants his food NOW) so I am unsure what to do.Lemoliana2008-11-03 00:58:48
