We got the results and they were normal, thank goodness! The Dr. said the findings were consistent with “functional constipation” so we are just going to have to give him a mild laxative to keep him regular. Right now we are using Karo syrup, which he said is very safe…he said that if it didn’t do the job that we could go to Miralax or something like that. It seems to be working, he has gone twice on his own in the last 2 days since we started giving it to him…even though he does seem to be working pretty hard to get it out…maybe after a few days of the Karo being in his system he’ll be able to go a little easier. He is doing great otherwise. We are so relieved!

I’m so glad everything was normal. What a relief. Hopefully you can get everything else “moving” in the right direction

Just a heads up. Karo syrup has to be digested as a suger and therefore may cause or start to cause gas issues. Miralax is really a better option. Just my opinion.
