I think Ben has the stomach flu – really bad! He won’t stop puking, he can’t keep water or pedialyte down, and now he also has the worst diarrhea I’ve ever seen! He is literally pooping liquid. And he’s still so young that he doesn’t understand what’s happening to him. Everytime he throws up, he just cries and tries to comfort himself saying “It’s OK!”. It’s just so bad! My husband just ran him to the emergency room, because we are afraid he may get dehydrated. He’s just shaking, the poor little guy! He’s such a trooper. My husband said to try and get some sleep (it’s after midnight here) but how can I? Oh, my poor boy.

Poor Ben, and poor you! I hope Paige, you and your DH will be able to stay free from that bug, it sounds nasty. Sending your family the best wishes from Oregon, hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Heidi

Poor Ben, how horrible for you all. Of course sleep would be impossible. Hopefully the ER will be able to give him something to stop the vomiting and make him feel a bit more comfortable.

Poor Ben. It’s probably one of those lousy stomach bugs…like rotavirus. We all had it in November. It was terrible, especially for Myles. But it does pass and as long as you can keep him hydrated he should be ok.

Good luck. I hope it passes soon and I hope the rest of you, (especially Paige), dont’ get it.

See if the ER is willing to check for Rotavirus. Taylor just had it a week ago. She was vomiting really bad, 16 diarrhea just plain water diapers in 1 day. She was in horrible shape especially with the stomach cramping. She was actually hospitalized she is was so bad off! Give your husband a call to see if they will check Ben’s poops, just to make sure. There is nothing to do for the Rotavirus, it will eventually pass but I felt better knowing what it was and I had DH sterilize everything since Rotavirus is very contagious. Hopefully he gets better soon!
