Hi Lauren! How many days has Shane been back on Alimentum? Do you think his body is still just adjusting to the switch? Sarah had major gas and diarrhea when we first started giving it to her and then it leveled out and she’s been fine. I just wonder if that might be contributing to the problem?

I hope you’re able to find some relief and the night time dose will help! Sorry I don’t know much about administering prevacid. Thank goodness Zegerid doesn’t have to be timed with meals! That sounds complicated!

Sorry, I didn’t mean to insinuate that you aren’t feeding him enough. I think the dinner jars are four ounces aren’t they? So that would probably be fine if that’s all he had. When Myles first started Prevacid he was only taking 2 ounces for a meal and it still worked.

I hope Shane is feeling better and sleeping better soon.

hey amy, i think it might be contributing to the problem. i think the soy might have made things worse, or the teething. but which ever it was.. i am really hoping to get things on track with his sleeping now. he isnt waking up as much any more at night as he was those couple of nights. but he is still rolling and having spasm like movements all night long. i always thought that that was normal and it was just reflux its self doing it, but the nurse really thinks it is acid breakthrough, soo i guess just to be safe we might as well try and protect his throat….God forbid it is. but we’ll see if it makes any difference! fingers crossed! 😉

Goodluck Lauren, I hope that the dose at night (if thats the way you go) helps your little man. Fingers crossed for you and Shane. Gee the little buggers (the current in fashion Aussie saying) are hard to work out sometimes
