I’m so sorry to hear that little Matthew is sick. It is so hard to see our babies feeling so miserable. You all have been through so much, and now he gets this nasty bug.

It sounds like he is on the road to recovery since his fever is down. And since he woke up so sweaty, thats usually a good sign that his fever has broke. I’m sure that once he starts to feel better, he will be able to keep his food down.

Your are all in my thoughts. Big hugs to you!

Thank you all… his fever seems to be under control… just around 100.5 or so, so doc said he is doing much better and not to worry (he had 104 almost all weekend, so we had to give him something very strong to stop the fever). He is not eating yet but he is holding some water and formula down.. we are going to see ped tomorrow for his 6-month appointment… we have to weigh him and ped said that hopefully his weight has not come down from where he was at 5 months… if it has, then we need to just give him food through the tube to get him back on his curve again 🙁

I’m so glad to hear that Matthew is doing better. Let us know how his appt. goes tomorrow with the Ped. Hopefully he has a good weight gain and that this bug didnt set him back to much.

Well… fever up again… i spoke too soon. Projectile vomitted everything he had for lunch and now we are going to ped this afternoon…. 🙁 maybe needs to be hospitalised

Oh Thais, I’m so sorry Matthew is still sick. Maybe the Ped can figure out whats wrong. Maybe its something bacterial and can be taken care of with an antibiotic. Has he been checked out for the typcial infections (strep throat, sinus infection, etc)?

OMG, Thais. I’m so sorry to hear that Matthew’s fever is back. I’ll be thinking of you, and hope that he gets back to himself again soon. Can they give him a round of broad spectrum antibiotics to see if that helps at all. I feel so awful for you both. Poor little guy (and poor mommy). I hope that he better soon.
