anyone using zegerid (omeprezole)?

Hi I’m new here. DS is 6M old and on prevacid solutabs. He still wants to nurse every 3 to 3 1/2 hours and is on solid food as well. He has been getting solids 2x a day for a while, and I think its about time to start a 3x a day schedule. I’m finding it increasingly difficult to be able to find a time to give his medication on an empty stomach and wait the recommended 30 minutes before feeding. It’s also very difficult to time his sleeping with the timing of medicating/eating and he often wakes early from naps out of hunger.

Has anyone had any success with zegerid? Are there any other options as far as medications that can be given with food? He’s done well on the prevacid, but I’m at the end of my rope as far as finding time to get it in. At the moment he’s under the Marci dose as I can’t seem to get in the second smaller dose. TIA!

zegerid gets rave reviews and caracream does,too- caracream is now called bufferbabies & this new name comes w/ a change in how it’s poured- it’s pumped & people report broken pumps- if you contact marci-kids and ask if you can get the OLD caracream dispenser then I vote for caracream (until they figure out how to fix the pump on the new & improved bufferbabies version)

You can switch to Prevacid capsules and use the Buffer Babies with it.
