The GI doc started DS on Lactulose Friday and although he is now not constipated anymore, the med seems to give him horrible gas and tummy pain. It’s almost 10 minutes after I give it he cries inconsolably, draws his legs up and his belly gets distended for about 2 hours or so. Today I tried to break up the dosage into multiple bottles but he gets the same issues no matter the amount. Anyone else have these issues? Any suggestions?

sounds like he could be lactose intolerant. maybe miralax would be a better option.
