Aluminum and Mylanta???

Does all Mylanta have aluminum? Is there a concern with infants and ingestion of Aluminum? I have read in some of the statements that a lot of mom’s have used Mylanta. Do I need to look for a certain “kind” of Mylanta???

The one I bought which is Mylanta Ultimate Strength does have aluminum and magnesium…………..

I cannot imagine aluminum being ‘good’ for an infant?

I do not know how harmful it is though, either…

we used the mylanta cherry supreme as well. the only reason i used it was because of the other moms on here warning me against the aluminum.. or i would have known! my sons doctor and his gi doctor just told me to use regular mylanta…. sooo.. i am sure its not too harmful in the amount that is being given.. but i felt more comfortable not even giving any if i had the choice 😉

my GI for Brianna told me that you would have to give your infant just insane amounts of Mylanta (the regular kind) to cause any type of damage, so if you go with the amounts your MD said, you will be fine. But if you are worried, the cherry supreme should be easy to find. 🙂
