1ST BIRTHDAY IDEAS

I am getting ready for Ashlynn’s 1st birthday party. (WOW)

Anyways I am going to do to a Elmo theme party and would like any ideas for games or decoration ideas.

Ashlynn has been doing good on one dose of Nexium at night. We our starting week to with only one dose. Yea! she still is making to reflux sounds ,but does not act liek it’s bugging her.

Wow! a year already!

games…I wouldn’t go for any games for 12 month olds…I would just set up an area for them to play…if you’re having older kids, then maybe some crafts? actually, even for the 12 month olds, you could find some free Sesame/Elmo coloring pages on the internet & print them out and put out little buckets/pails w/ crayons (could get messy though w/ the little ones!)

for decorating- there’s a lot of Elmo stuff at Party Stores or you could try Ebay…

For party favors, you could get Elmo party bags and put Elmo/Sesame stickers in there, a little box of crayons and some coloring pages (maybe even rolled up & tied w/ a ribbon…)

We did an Elmo theme for Seth’s 2nd birthday.

I agree with Laura about the games. I had the pin the nose on Elmo game and we never even played it. The kids just wanted to be outside and/or playing with Seth’s toys. If it is nice out, I would just put things for the kids to do out there like bubbles, sidewalk chalk, balls, etc. For inside, the coloring sheets were a good idea and you could also have an Elmo’s World movie playing for the kid’s to watch. We’ve been to parties too that put the brown roll paper over the table where you could color and put stickers on it (you could get Elmo stickers).

For decorating, there is a ton of Elmo stuff out there at the party stores. If you really want to go all out, you could get a goldfish to be Dorothy (I thought of this for Seth’s party but did not do it but did put Goldfish snacks in the goody bags)!!
