About a month ago we decided to slowly wean my son from Axid. Within 3 days he was fussy (climbing up my leg whining all day). He ALWAYS slept well at night, even with horrible reflux when he was younger. However, he is fussy all day. So, after a few more days I decided to put him back on the Axid. Right now he gets 1 ml 2x’s per day (which I hear is not much). He was feeling a bit better the next day but then started teething. We are still dealing with the teething and he is very fussy. However, he is also doing something that has me stumped. He swallows hard (not while eating) and gulps in air. It almost seems like he is swallowing to keep something down. Do teething babies do this since they have excess saliva? Or is there a reason to think that this is the reflux and we need to up his dose? I just can’t tell if he is fussy from teething or reflux! The tooth has pretty much popped through, however, he could be cutting more. 2 months ago he cut 6 teeth in one month!
Outside of fussy and the gulping he has no symptoms.
