The Joneja Food Allergen Scale (click!)
This table is based on the typical North American diet and compiled from a wide variety of sources. Foods are listed from the highest to the lowest allergenicity. People vary in their reactivity to foods and show a different pattern of reactivity depending on their individual characteristics. Persons following ethnic diets tend to show a different order of allergenicity. Allergenicity depends on a variety of factors including frequency of exposure to the food. Visit Dr. Joneja’s site to learn more.
IMPORTANT! Although the following foods may be lower on the Joneja Food Allergen Scale, they have NOT been shown to have great success on TED diets completed by InfantReflux moms: sweet potatoes, carrots. Other foods higher on the list that have also been troublesome for moms are: eggs, citrus, tomato, rice, wheat, oats, nuts, pea protein, peanut butter, grapes.
