Tyler just had an appt with a ped ENT at Hopkins and he believes that the problem is a Laryngeal Cleft. He is scheduled for surgery on June 22nd! Finally after more than a year we may have an answer. Nobody ever suggested that we look from the neck up to figure out this wheezing problem. The doc we went to for a second opinion at hopkins sugested that we see a speech pathologist and an ENT. Tyler does have oropharyngeal dysphagia in addition to all of the other problems, but this cleft actually sounds like it may be the answer to his problems. Hooray!!!!!!1
