Elijah has just been doing great on his prevacid 15 mg/day in 2 doses.
He slept flat on his back last night with no reflux (he did wake up a
few times)
He is soooo smart. I talk to him all the time and have been singing the Phonics Song from SSRW since he was born.
He usually just stares at my mouth, now he likes to feel my mouth with his hands or fingers when I talk or sing.
So anyway, the other day he was sitting on a blanket with Garfield the
cat on it. We have 2 cats and Elijah has 1 so he has heard the word
alot.
He was trying to take the “cat” off of the blanket then pointed to some
of the pics and I said softly “cat” and he softly replied “cat.” I have
it on tape.
Then, a few days later, he was in his bouncy thingy and he loudly said
“CAT” as the cat walked by him. He hasn’t said it again yet. He does
his normal babbling and lots of raspberries.
He also played beek a boo with ME. I mean, he kind of started it.
He was sitting on my bed with the Garfield blanket in front of him when
he started picking it up with both hands and putting it down. I then
scrunched down so he couldn’t see me and he pulled the blanket down and
I said peek a boo and he kept doing it! He even hid his face in the
blanket (like an ostrich LOL) and popped up for a peek a boo a few
times.
We went through a lot with Elijah and GERD and DR’s and pain, and hours of crying etc, etc.
It got better for us, I pray it gets better for all your babies and yourselves.
