Ok, so Aidan is not only eating a ton of formula, maybe 20-24 oz a day now, he is also eating 2-3 servings of solids, soemtimes we have them for breakfast, sometimes not, but always for lunch and dinner. he has had green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatos, squash, avacado, bananas, mango, prunes, pears and peaches. The only issues we had was he gagged on the pears (gritty texture) and the peaches were WAY to sour for him. He also hates jarred bananas but loves fresh ones smushed up…I even left them kind of lumpy this morning and he chewed his way through 1/3 (or so) of a banana. ALSO I cut his meds in half, 15 mgs in the morning and only 1.5 ml of mylanta before bed. He seems fine so far, the med decrease was not only b/c he seems better but because I can’t aford to pay for them anymore and if I half the meds the script will last for 2 months…I think he’s teething b/c he has become a faucet! drool everywhere which has caused a massive rash under his neck (he’s fat so the neck is really like 3 rolls the drool gets caught in) so he is always slathered up in a & D ointment which makes it go away…I am so happy he is doing so well…he has become a tiny bit of a spitter since starting solids, but only like a dribble here or there, sometimes almost a teaspoonfull (and spitting up even a tsp of peas is just nasty). I am thinking that with a lot of prayers and luck his reflux will be all gone by 6 months…developmentally he is sort of backwards, no interest in rolling over but can sit up! Anyway just wanted to post my happy story…..
