Hi. I’m new to this website. I’ve seen many posts from here, so I’m excited to join.
Recently we’ve been having a lot of sleep problems with my 9 month old daughter. She’s been on 5 ml of prevacid for a few months now and things were going pretty well. She would only wake up once or twice a night. Sometimes when she would wake up she would arch and kick her legs for about 45 min before she would resettle and fall asleep. Because of that I decided to try Prilosec with her.
She did really bad on the Prilosec. She was up every hr. at night. So we switched back to Prevacid. Well, the pharmacist we’ve been using said he find out bubble gum flavor is the best flavor to use with the compound. He’s been filling it with grape and we haven’t had a problem with it, but now this is what he claims.
She’s been taking the bubble gum flavored compound for 2 days, but we haven’t seen much improvement with her sleep. So, now the GI doc wants to do a PH probe. I just can’t understand why she was doing well on the grape compound 2 weeks ago and now we can’t seem to get back on track. Any thoughts?? I’m scared she’s going to be traumatized with the probe.
