So my lo is on a 2 week trial of neocate. Today is day 2 and his poop came out shooting like a rocket, all mucousy with yellow little dots and dark black dots, and very little smell. On alimentum his poops were dark green and so very very stinky. Is this normal? Do you think his system is cleaning out or something? He tested negative for blood in stool. Thank you all so much for your help. I’m so confused about MSPI!

Well it’s normal to see a change in stools when transitioning between formulas (or BM for that matter), so I would make sure to give it at least two weeks, but you could ask your doctor if you’re worried or concerned about his stools. I know from my own personal experience that it seemed like it took forever for my LO to get rid of the mucuos in his diapers. I’m not sure that was helpful?
