Only last week I posted on the help board because I was at wits end and so soon after that things are starting to get better.
My LO is 12 weeks this week and was refusing to feed due to suspected reflux (arching pack and crying in pain when try to feed or after feeding a short while and mucusy poops). Every feed was a challenge and I got her sleepy or completely asleep before feeding her most times. This started around 6 weeks but did not get bad until weeks 8-9 and it took me that long to realize what the problem might be.
I started the TED 13 days ago and on day 10 we started to see improvement. She is having long feeds after waking up in the night, in the morning, and after naps. She still has times where she has reflux pain and does not finish eating but that seems to be getting less common by the day. She is sleeping and napping better and is a happier baby and as a result and I am finally getting some sanity back.
Things are not 100% better yet but they are so much better I thought I should post here to share my success so far!

Also, I found that things got a bit better after I went on TED but then got worse again around days 4-6 before starting to get better again. Not sure if others have experienced the same thing? If it happens to you know that it may get worse before it gets better for some reason!

yay!any more news to report?July 11, 2011 at 4:58 pm #68644AnonymousInactiveHi Laura!
Thanks for the post! Autumn continues to do pretty well for the past week. Considering I could only feed her while v. sleepy or asleep and even then it took many tries to get any food in her it is a big change. She is mostly on a 3-hour eating schedule during the day and has a good long feed each time. I just weighed her again this morning and she gained 8 ounces last week!
She is also sleeping a 6 hour stretch to start the night now though the second part of the night still needs some work.
We have had a bit of reflux flare up a few times over the past week but nothing like when it was at its worst. I had some dried cranberries mixed with pumpkin and sunflower seeds as a snack on Friday night (I had them a few times during the past few weeks as part of my TED) and then we had a bad weekend! Crazy that a few cranberries could do that as I am guessing that is what it was.
I will likely be looking for info on adding foods back to my diet pretty soon though I am scared to do so after this weekend’s fiasco. Perhaps I need another post in the TED forum to get some advice!

Then this morning Autumn’s two bottom teeth are poking through her gums. Ah – teething and she is only 3 months tomorrow! I’ve read that reflux can flare up during teething so I am hoping this is the case but it also sucks cause there are lots of teeth to come in!

(they lose them early, too, lol! I discovered this as he was one of the first of his friends to lose his first tooth)…hang in there! -
