I feel like now at 8 wks I can officially say that my third baby does not have reflux. I think he did have a touch of it, but we took him to a kinesologist and he is doing good. I’m not going to go so far as to say he is never fussy, but I think all babies are to some point. There have been many times I thought maybe he had reflux, but I would sit back and watch for the signs and couldn’t really see the main signs. Many things I could have mistaken for reflux though. I think what also helped Anthony is that I did not eat dairy during my pregnancy and have not had it except on accident since he has been born. The few times I have had it on accident, I do feel like he has reacted to it. So, all that to say that I think the kinesologist worked wonders on him. We only took him in twice and that was so much cheaper than the meds would have been. I would definantly recommend if you have one in your area to take your baby and see what happens. I never thought it could work for one of my babies, but it did.

Kinesiology can be amazing when done by a good practitioner. We had a great kinesiologist evaluate the kids once, and she was amazing! And kudos to you for being and staying milk-free. It’s not an easy task but it can be very helpful.June 27, 2009 at 8:35 am #63073AnonymousInactiveAwesome news Shelby! I am so happy to hear this!! I hope it continues to be an easy ride for you! How are Justice and Luke doing? Adjusting well to Anthony and growing like crazy?

Thank you. Luke and Justice are both doing great. Justice still has reflux when he has too much dairy and I think Luke still has it too, but they rarely complailn about it. I really need to get the kinesologist to look at them as well, but it can get pricy.Luke is doing so well with Anthony. He loves him so much and wants to be around him all the time. Justice seems to be a little jealous and is very rough with him. I’m afraid he’s going to hurt him, but all in all they are both doing well.Laura we posted at the same time. If you were asking me, it’s going great. babywearing has been a true lifesaver this time and he doesn’t even have reflux. I have a moby wrap this time and love it. Although it is getting really hot now.Justice’smom2009-06-27 09:24:19
June 27, 2009 at 9:34 am #63079hellbenntKeymasterI figured w/ three little ones, babywearing would be helpful!
the ‘best’ advice I ever got when I had Ari was to never ‘blame’ the baby, but to ‘blame’ my hands- example: changing the baby or feeding the baby & sibling needs you/wants you, etc. instead of saying “one minute, I’m changing the baby!” it helps to say “mama will be right there! my hands are busy!” I know it sounds simple and a bit silly, but really I found it very very helpful!June 27, 2009 at 3:47 pm #63082AnonymousInactiveIt makes a lot of sense. My hands are busy doesn’t make the child so resentful. I will try to remember that. Thank you.
