Okay, here I go again. So Ds is breastfed and 2 mo. old. I’ve been on TED for going on 5 weeks. Tried a trial of green beans and screaming followed with terrible gas and sleeplessness. Stopped green beans obviously but 4 days later he still has BAD gas and poop is yellow, runny, no seeds, and STINKY. I know I posted in another area kinda about this but I’m so confused. I stopped eating squash thinking maybe the prolonged irritated tummy was from that but how long should I give between switching things out of my diet?? So now all I’m eating is turkey, rice products, sweet potatoes and pears. How long should I stick with this untill changing something if the gas continues? I’m not concerned about consistency of poop but just wondering if another breastfeeding mama has had a baby with poop that’s not seedy?Help, help. I’m on the brink of tears all the time. Any suggestions?

Erin is away right now, but her posts can help you. search for erintx under username…Before the green beans was poop normal? no stinky gas?then go back to that diet, whatever it was, and see if things improve after a few days?yellow squash is part of the TED, no? just wondering why you’re giving it up?sorry that it’s ‘just’ me answering you, but things are slow around here at the moment and to be honest, erin is really the one to be able to help…of course others can chime in, too!I would think that poop would return to where it was, after removing the offender (in this case green beans), after 4 or 5 days. did you introduce anything else that you can think of? toothpaste? vitamin? medicine? anything else that could be attributing to the change in poop/gas? different brand or kind of turkey? rice products any different?June 14, 2009 at 5:54 pm #62902AnonymousInactiveLaura,
I’m glad to hear from you!! Are you kdding? It’s nice to hear from anyone at this point. I’m exhausted with this guessing. I took out squash because I had recently tried acorn squash for the first time around the time of the green beans so I thought maybe? Have you heard of bf babies not having seedy poop? Kate never had any of these issues. No green beans for me. Hopefully in the next day or two things will improve. This is day 4 of no beans and still the gas and nasty poop. (sigh), I would give anything for a cupcake……
I’ll try and search Erin’s posts when I have a minute. I just can never find more than a minute these days between a 2 year old and an infant. Too many hours in the day yet not enough…
