Just wondering if anyones child has episodes of sucking really furiously on pacifier-both my refluxers do it atleast once a day and I don’t know if its reflux related or just them. My boys also moan/whine when they do it.

Thanks for the reply-its the craziest thing when James does it but I think everything he does is reflux related. Getting any sleep? James sleeps in a stroller which tends to help.

my LO would do that it seems when his tummy hurt, bad gas or before he would go BM. I always thought he was still hungry so I would keep feeding, compounding the problem. I think it was either Dr sears or somewhere it said don’t mistake sucking for hunger, babies suck for comfort when in pain. so I tried gripe water or simethicone, let him suck on passy then low and behold he would start passing gas or go #2 and the sucking would stop or calm down.
