i am currently living in mexico and all of the med. is in ml. i think the dosage of zantac that the doc prescribed my daughter is too low, but dont know how to convert mg to ml in order to know how much he is giving her. does anyone know???
it doesn’t say how many drops equals how many mgs? I don’t think I can help, but maybe some else can… Usually here the does is 75mg/5ml so 15mg/1ml so if you are only giving her 3/4 ml day then it would sound like she is getting 10.75mg/day? That is probably low if the doses are the same as here in the US. The max dose of Zantac is 10mg/kg of the babies weight. Hopefully again someone else will chime in to help clear up the confusion.
the pharmacies here have normal workers behind the counters just to dispense the med, so frustrating. today, i have been trying to find prevacid solutabs, but they only have the tablets or capsules, which they tell me to crush and dissolve in water. which i know from my reading on this site will only make the drug ineffective.
if no one can answer you, then maybe get pepcid chewable tablets and dissolve them yourself and give as a liquid?- this way you would know how many mgs teh tablets are? OR see if you can get zantac in a powder packet (you would add your own water)? the packet might tell you how many mgs?
