I have about 2 months left before this baby is born and I am trying to figure everything out. I like to be prepared even if I don’t need to be. Anyway, I talked to an herbalist the other day about what you could do for a baby with reflux and this was her suggestion. She said to give the baby enzymes, probiotics, and gripe water as soon as the baby gets here. I’m just not sure I want to start until I know the baby has reflux. I have a good feeling that this one won’t have it and I really don’t want to do things I don’t need to do. What would you do?

Everyone says girl, but I think it’s a boy. Everything in me says it’s a girl. This pregnancy has been nothing like my other two, but I have heard that whatever your instincts say, it’s the opposite. So, we will see. Also when we did our 20 wk ultrasound the ultrasound tech kept calling it a boy and so did my midwife who was also present.January 27, 2009 at 12:17 pm #60608AnonymousInactiveUM, OK, maybe I am wrong. but I have heard (who knows what is true or not true) more morning sickness with the girl because of the increased estrogen.
Either way, I am hoping for healthy and reflux free!!!!!!!!January 27, 2009 at 4:15 pm #60616AnonymousInactiveMy morning sickness was way worse with this one. It’s amazing I ate anything at all. I do hope your right. We do want a girl. We are also hopeing for reflux free. I have changed a ton of things this time, but who knows.
January 27, 2009 at 5:42 pm #60617AnonymousInactivesorry gals—-i carried twin girls and had less nausea than other pregnancies—–and twins are supposed to cause more nausea, too.
January 27, 2009 at 5:48 pm #60618hellbenntKeymasterI love babies!!! I couldn’t wait to find out, LOL! I thought I could but when presented with the chance to know, I just caved…
How exciting!!! anyway, I know you want ‘natural’ but I swear by mylanta cherry supreme- I gave it to Ari at every little squeak an sound he made (& he didn’t have reflux)…It’s all going to be MORE than fine! YAY!!!January 27, 2009 at 6:21 pm #60623AnonymousInactivei wanted to know what i was having so that i could shop the yard sales!!!
January 28, 2009 at 8:22 pm #60658AnonymousInactiveHow exciting! I can’t wait for the “surprise”! I would say to wait and follow the babies lead. Like Lauren said…if they’re going to have it they’re going to have it. The things you mentioned (like gripe water, etc…) aren’t going to CURE the reflux anyway. Good luck…you’re MORE than prepared!
